Oh, this forthcoming new decade looks to be a good ’un -- we have a non-idiot in the White House, the Not-So-Great Depression feels like it’s winding down, and at least two lovely bands from years back are putting out new material that proves they’ve still got it. Fantastic.
We’ve talked about Devo’s forthcoming brilliance in this space before, but now it’s time for Madness. Their actual time as a defunct entity was really pretty short, but it’s been a decade since their last full album of new material, so The Liberty of Norton Fulgate should remedy that. The album is already out in the UK but hasn’t made waves with their US fans too much yet, though now that the videos and the film are getting out that may change.
Me, I’m just happy they’re back.
